SPECIALIST SURVEYS

Cornish Unit

Many mortgage lenders will require an investigative structural survey of a "Cornish Unit" property. The units are considered non traditional housing types. Typically these were built in the 1950s and consist of two main types, refered to as type 1 and type 2. Cornish unit properties comprise concrete steel reinforced frames with concrete infill panels and often have mansard roofs.

Our specialist reports will detail any structural defects attributable to this type of property and comment on any remedial works required.
