SPECIALIST SURVEYS

Geotechnical Survey

These reports typically outline the localised ground conditions in order to comment on and action any subsequent structural design proposals. Often trial pits are used in order to estimate the local bearing capacity in respect of the observed substrata. These reports can be requested by architects and/or local authorities with regard to existing or proposed foundations for building works such as extensions and structural alterations.

Please note trial pits must be excavated by a third party prior to our survey.

Our geotechnical surveys do not constitute full and comprehensive geotechnical and environmental investigations. Please see our resources section for specialist geotechnical consultants in the Devon and Cornwall area.
